Acquire Images from a Variety of Sources
Zoner Photo Studio makes it easy to acquire source photos from a variety of sources - not just digital cameras, but also scanners, web galleries, and the Clipboard.
1. Support for All Types of Digital Cameras
After you connect your digital camera, Zoner Photo Studio will offer you a chance to download images from the path to it (or also any path of your choice at any time). During this process, Zoner Photo Studio only reads in the thumbnails generated by these cameras. If you've used similar programs before, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how fast it brings the camera's contents to the screen. Zoner Photo Studio supports cameras that use USB Mass Storage as well as Canon cameras, which communicate over special protocols.
2. Scanning Directly into Zoner Photo Studio
You can use the TWAIN interface to scan images into Zoner Photo Studio directly. It’s also easy to connect a scanner that supports batch scanning.
3. Acquisition from the Windows Clipboard
There are countless programs that let you cut or copy images to the Windows Clipboard. Zoner Photo Studio can paste such images in from the Clipboard and save them without your needing to open another graphics program.
4. Screen Captures
Press PrintScr nebo Alt+PrintScr to send the current contents of the screen to the Clipboard, as usual. After that, thanks to Zoner Photo Studio, you can automatically save screen shots to separate files and choose whether or not screen shots should include the mouse cursor.
5. Batch Downloading of Images from the Web - “Web Spider”
The Acquire | From Web Site function saves to your computer all images that are located at or under a Web address of your choice. You can choose how many links deep you want the program to search, what type of images it should download, and enter a name and password for authorized access.
6. Acquiring Images from a Camera
One of the ways in which you can acquire digital photographs is taking them from data in the RAW format produced by your digital camera. This is sometimes called “developing” or “converting” the picture. Zoner Photo Studio enables you to convert RAW data from Canon cameras using Canon’s own conversion libraries.
Certain functions for acquiring images are not contained in the Classic version and may also not be in the Home version; for details, see the version comparison table.
Every function for acquiring images is in the Acquire menu in the Browser. You can also open files in the Editor in the traditional way, using the Open command in the File menu. Zoner Photo Studio fully supports drag & drop work, i.e. you can open or move a file by dragging and dropping it into ZPS with the mouse.
