English version:
Zoner Draw 4 - English was released in April 24, 2001.
Two new builds and patches of the English version have been released:

German version:
Zoner Draw 4 - German was released in October 1, 2001.
The current build is 4.0.2481.2, and it is the first published build, so there are no patches currently available.
Patch #2 (Build 4.0.2481.2) - New Features and Bug Fixes:
New Features:
- added import filter for AI, PS and EPS
- added export filter for AI, EPS and PDF
- option to reduce DPI when printing transparent objects (faster printing)
- duplication mode respected when using the Transformations gallery
Problems in Zoner Draw 4 Fixed by This Patch:
- problems with text (bold and italic style) when saving documents
- can not upload style from the object to style gallery when the object does not have this style (i.e. object without fill)
- cannot switch views using Alt-number keyboard shortcuts
- precision for freehand tool is changing its value randomly
- when printing in "center" or "fit to page" mode there was an error if some layer was nonprintable - the object was wrongly positioned
- wrong file extensions when saving palettes
- bug in Zoner Draw 3 import filter - some artistic texts' baselines can be extended
- wrong EMF margins in 1280x1024 resolution
- check if the line style definition is compatible with PostScript
- better rendering of dashed lines in low zoom
- bad printing of dashed hairlines on some printers
- wrong update of curve smoothness when shape tool active
- wrong rendering of texts if a corrupted font is used
- problems with Busker font and bold style
- wrong printing of curves on Win9x and HP printers (most probably driver bug)
- import WMF/EMF - support for IntersecClipRect and ExcludeClipRect
Fixes in Bar Code Tool:
- corrected input of '&' character and added missing alphanumeric characters in EAN 128
Fixes in Zoner GIF Animator:
- bug in text - shadow is not displayed when the offset is negative
- small bugs in print function
- size of selected frames is not updated correctly after Undo

Problems in Zoner Draw 4 Fixed by This Patch:
- Occasional freezing of the program while redrawing small objects
- Crash while printing thick lines with sharp and rounded corners on certain printers
- Poor redrawing of galleries when gallery was scrolled up one full page
- Poor description of control for entering blend angle
- Error occurring when changing object order in blends
- Occasional "sticking" of the "15 degrees" button during shaping after release of the CTRL key
- Visual error when creating lines while the SHIFT key was pressed
- ESC key was deselecting objects even when it was pressed within a dialog

- Crash while editing (attempt to save) images when the Animation Player was running

Build 2480.5 Fixes And New Features:

- You can now speed-scroll the palette by right-clicking the palette-scrolling buttons or holding Shift as you scroll;
- You can now let the program judge paper sizes from your printer and margins from its unprintable regions, eliminating guesswork;
- You can now quickly switch tools using the keys on the numeric keypad.
Repairs - ZD4 Environment:
- Fixed problem where the nodes of relatively complex curves were sometimes redrawn incorrectly as the user shaped the curve;
- Fixed preview for linear gradient fills, which was showing a tilted fill after startup even though the fill had a 0° angle;
- Fixed incorrect display of thick lines for certain combinations of line endings/line corners, types of curve sections, and connections between them;
- Fixed incorrect shortcut keys for showing the Styles, Clip Art and Symbols galleries;
- Fixed problems when working with document size and measurement units were set to anything other than millimeters;
- Fixed problem where right-clicking switched the focus out of the main window, making it temporarily impossible to use the wheel of an wheeled mouse;
- Fixed crashing/hanging of Zoner Draw 4 when the Keys+ shareware application was running at the same time.
Repairs - Printing:
- Reduced memory demands when printing bitmaps with color depth lower than 24 bits.
Repairs to Import/Export Tools:
- Improved import of pen style from vector documents;
- Added import of line endings in vector documents;
- Added the ability to correctly import "restricted text," used in some DRW and DSF files;
- Added the ability to correctly import "splines," used in some DRW and DSF files;
- Added support for TIFF files in the variant with 6 bytes per pixel;
- Fixed ratio of sides when importing EMF files from MS Excel;
- Fixed error when importing CDR files with multi-page documents - all pages were being placed onto a single page.
Repairs to Text Tool:
- Fixed error where characters were not fitting into text frames in Windows 95/98;
- Fixed error that caused text to lose its shadow after it was converted to curves.
Build 2480.2 Fixes And New Features:
New Features in Import and Export Tools:
- A compression option is now offered for the ZMF;
- Improved import of the AI and interpreted EPS formats;
- New import filters - interpreted PS, CMX, and CGM;
- User settings for export to vector formats;
- Improved HPGL export;
- Improved line output during export to vector formats (option to use an alternative pen-export method - an internal Windows function, with lower quality but also lower size and higher editing capability);
- Improved lines (less data used) for output to PostScript;
- Added import of DRW and DSF formats.
Repairs to the Import and Export Tools:
- Fixed problems with importing certain WMF files under Windows 95/98;
- Fixed problem with exporting hairline-thickness open curves to the EMF format.
New Features of the Import and Export Tools:
- Added Unicode-text support for the Clipboard;
- Added font substitution;
- Added support for old fonts that do not contain the Western code page (concretely Windows 3.x fonts).
Repairs to the Text Tool:
- Fixed problems with calculation of kerning when editing text;
- Removed inaccuracies for calculating the frame for text on curves;
- Fixed problem with entering text in certain symbol fonts when the text frame was extremely small.
New Zoner Draw Environment Features:
- Added possibility to remove one path at a time in the Adobe plug-ins configuration dialog;
- Improved previews for styles and cursors when dragging styles;
- Expanded help.
Fixes to the User Environment:
- Removed a visual error in linear fills at certain angles, as well as with anti-aliasing, where a dot was appearing in the corner of the fill;
- Fixed problem in operation of the pen when "Transform with Object" was active.
Fixes to Zoner GIF Animator:
- Fixed problem with screen-refresh while editing in Windows 2000;
- Output files were adjusted to the demands of MS Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator;
Build 2480.1 Fixes And New Features:
New features:
- Added ability to select a code page for text;
- Added black-and-white text editing mode - text can be edited as white text on a black background for faster redrawing of text with complex fills;
- Added "calculator" support in the editing field of the guidelines dialog.
Fixes to Zoner Draw 4:
- Fixed problem with installation program that had been leading to incorrect operation after the program was installed on Windows 2000 by an "administrator" user who then logged in and used the program as a user without administration rights;
- Fixed and supplemented help files;
- Fixed problem with applying styles from the Styles gallery while editing text;
- Fixed problem with CMYK separations for bitmaps;
- Added ability to edit text outside its frame;
- Improved cropping of fills during export.
